I got this about 12 years ago in a trade, and kept it as I WAS doing an occasional bass gig and prefer smaller basses (as I'm no bassist). It was my "backup", and I've played it MAYBE 30 minutes since!. It does have a small active pre-amp, but when the small knob is rolled back it's NOT in the signal! (side jack BTW). As stated above, these are not seen often. I've even mentioned it to a couple "big" Japanese dealers and THEY have never seen one (figure THAT out!). If you like "smaller" cool basses.....NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!
