Like the upgraded Tom Delonge Fender Single Humbucker Stratocaster with the double pot for volume and TBX tone upgrade with Fender Atomic Pickup.. rvrb.io/1986-tom-delonge-s-xo2 Here on reverb at my store, stratconnection.
This is a very artistic custom made A Series Delongi with a TBX tone control pot added to the pick-guard.
The art work is exquisite on this Fender Delonge Squier and custom done by a very talented artist.. But there are a few other surprises to this Fender Delonge Squier. The 1 5/8 nut and 2 3/8ths string space on a Nickel Fender Stamped S saddle bridge. With a 7.5 radius D profile 25.5 scale is predominate to it's fast playing lead as well with the perfectly clean medium large frets. Heel measurement is 2 3/8's wide rather then the norm of 2 1/2 inches wide, 3 inch deep.. The neck is in perfect playing shape as you can see in the pictures.. The open gear box tuners add that old 60's touch as the covers of the tuners were always coming off with the cleaning back in those days.
Here's an extra added factor to way in.. The Contemporary and Strats and Tele's made in Japan at Fujigen were parts sent from the Corona Factory as jobs were out sourced during our 80's recession. You can always tell as once in a while a pencil date on the heel of the neck was only done here in the USA.. Japan used stamps and codes for configuration like a ST362 would mean Stratocaster 3 single coil configuration 62RI.. You can see the pencil date on this neck was a November 26, 1984 date..
All the early 1980's Fenders Assembled at the Fujigen Factory were sent parts, plugs and necks from the US for assembly.. Japan didn't have CNC lathes to made the US bodies until 1990. So these are rare collector models for sure.
Apart from it's attractive art design, all the original Gotoh Humbucker and M250XX pots are original including the added TBX Tone control pot.. If you don't know what a TBX Tone pot is a double pot with a transistor and resistor and filter capacitor with a center indent. Allows for adding hi EQ without robbing the Bottom EQ and visa versa rather then just filtering out the bottom EQ when turning up the treble on your standard tone pots. Sold as is as vintage swappable parts..
This is a fantastic guitar and will you tube it soon.. Shipping in a 80's Fender bubble case Priority. 2-3 day rock on
