Cosmetic Condition: Excellent condition & very well-cared for with some mild surface scratches from light playing. There are a few marks on the back in the lacquer but I could not get them to show up in any of the photos. It has a VOS finish which is Gibson's version of a lightly aged finish to replicate a vintage guitar finish that is slightly dulled looking with lightly aged hardware. It looks like a true 60 year old guitar that's been stored under the bed until now! There are no paint chips or dings. Super low action and easy to play. The wrap around bridge intonates perfect.
Neck: Chunky mahogany neck with cream binding & vintage style tortoise side-dots. It has a very nice chocolate Rosewood fingerboard with mother of pearl trapezoid inlays. Frets are in excellent condition as well. Vintage-style & "aged" Kluson Deluxe tuners in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 24 3/4" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is in perfect working condition. Neck thickness at 1st fret is .903 in. and 1.000 in. at the 12ft fret.
Body: Solid mahogany body with bound maple top (absolutely no chambering). Nickel, wrap-around bridge with single-ply, cream pickguard. Guitar weighs in at an incredible 8 lbs 4 oz!
Pickups: Gibson Custom Shop P-90 "soapbar" single coils with original Gibson Bumblebee caps in the control cavity . Dual volume & tone controls with gold barrel knobs; 3-way toggle switch. All electronics are in perfect working condition.
Case: Original Lifton vintage style hardshell case included along with COA, hang tags, case key and warranty card.
If you are looking for a really cool vintage style Les Paul that is light weight and in excellent lightly played condition, then this is your instrument. These guitar cost almost $5,000 now new and you won't find one this light weight. The guitar will ship in a professional grade heavy duty shipping box packed the way a high dollar guitar should be.
