This is a wonderful neck. It was taken from a nearly new Squier Classic Vibe Stratocaster® '57 model I am parting out. It is a solid maple neck with maple fretboard and walnut “skunk” stripe on the back. The headstock, neck and fretboard all have a beautiful wood grain.
It has 21 medium jumbo frets, which are in perfect condition (the guitar was barely played). The fret edges are smooth and feel great. There is no fret wear. There may be a few very minor scuffs on the neck, but overall it’s in excellent condition. The neck is a medium “C” profile with a 9.5” radius. The truss rod works perfectly, as it should, and the neck is perfectly straight. It is a fender standard 25.5” scale and fits a standard fender 2 3/16 neck pocket (fits any guitar body with these specifications, so Squier’s, Warmoth’s, etc.). So it should fit just about any fender, Squier, or many other brands bodies (will fit 21 or 22 fret models).
Please check first. The original Squier Logo information was sanded smooth, 7 coats of Tru Oil finish were sprayed over and lightly sanded with 1500 grit sandpaper. Then, the fender 50's style logo was applied and 3 more coats of oil were sprayed and lightly sanded. Yes, up close you can see that it is a water slide if you look very close at a certain angle. I took the headstock pic in high light to try to show this. From more than a couple of feet though, it looks completely original.
Please read carefully: This is not a Squier neck being sold as a Fender. This is a Squier Classic Vibe neck with a Fender decal, and that is exactly how it’s being sold.
The final 3 pics show the guitar it came from (guitar not included – obviously) and I have received multiple comments on how awesome it looked and played and no one guessed it wasn’t a Fender neck.
