Up for auction is my beautiful antique bowl back mandolin. This amazing instrument has all the bells and whistles. It's unbelievably ornate and it's a great player too. So many great things to talk about starting with the most incredible pickguard I've ever seen. The abalone American eagle inlaid into the tortoise shell is really eye-popping. Then you have the rare and gorgeous mother of pearl fretboard . The bowl back is made from Brazilian rosewood with ivory slats. The neck is made with cedar and the peghead face is Brazilian rosewood. The tuners are totally incased and they all work perfectly. The top is spruce with possibly maple binding and rosette. It has two cracks on the top (see photos) that do not affect the playability. It also appears to be missing some inlays on the fretboard.
