Wiring Mod: I installed a mini-toggle switch in between the volume and tone knobs so you can
switch between humbucker mode and 2 different single coil modes. It is a 3 position
mini-toggle switch.
- In the middle position, the pickups function as normal humbucking pickups
- Flip the mini-toggle switch up and the inner coils of each pickup are active in single coil mode
- Flip the mini-toggle switch down and the outer coils of each pickup are active in single coil mode
- With only one pickup on you can get a different single coil sound on that pickup(Either the inner coil or the outer coil or full humbucker)
Keep in mind that if the wiring modification doesn't appeal to you, you don't have to use it. You are still getting a great guitar at a great price!!! I make a small boo boo in the demo. When I move the selector to the neck position, I accidentally say BRIDGE pickup. I should have said NECK pickup. So, take that into account when you are watching this demo video!
