Up for sale is a vintage made in Japan snare drum.
In excellent condition.
14 x 5 size. Chrome over steel shell.
Badge is missing -- I purchased this drum with a set of vintage Yamaha Tour Custom made in Japan drums, and believe from the markings, lugs and throw off that this may be a vintage Yamaha drum or perhaps Pearl. The word Japan is stamped into the bottom side of the throw off.
Very clean shell exterior m-- no dents or scratches. Clean interior and bearing edges. The drum originally had an internal throw off and control dial but these pieces are now missing. The drum is very heavy in terms of weight. Both heads are in very good condition. The drum's components are in excellent working order.
The drum delivers exceptionally crisp and responsive tone -- reminds me of the tone from vintage Ludwig Supra Phonic snare drums.
