Works great - Has a rockabilly tone to it with a reduced low end which is common with 55's and preferred by many for an old school tonality Capsule internally has been secured - As a result you will not have issues with the capsule/element bumping around inside like 90% of the vintage 55's soldComes with adapter cable (similar to the one shown)For sale is a great looking Shure 55s that sounds and functions great. Many on the market and ones I have received almost always either have a dead capsule or the capsule/element inside is loose due to the old rubber material breaking down. This 55 looks like it was certainly well taken care of with the chrome possessing that original shine. Interestingly enough this 55 is rebranded under Shure's professional line, and has the impedance switch covered. Luckily, the impedance seems to be set low impedance since it works great with modern interfaces with a low noise signal. Cosmetically, this microphone is not perfect, with wear and tear that comes with it being well over 50 years old so please inspect all the images. The grille cloth on the rear is a black felt material that is less prone to damage, and is not going to fall apart like a foam alternative. Besides that you will receive an adapter cable that is relatively short, which works great since you simply connect your existing XLR cable. Thanks for looking!
