For sale is this rare and historically significant Kalamazoo (Gibson) KG-14 from 1938 in very good condition !The guitar is very similar to a Gibson L-00 guitar (but sells for much less) and was built in the Gibson factory in Kalamazoo.It's one of the guitars Robert Johnson, the famous delta blues guitarist, used to play and record with.The FON number is 812D and is clearly visible on the neck block.The guitar is light as a feather , responds to the slightest touch and sounds great.Beautiful sunburst finish. Superficial crack in the finish at the left lower bout.Mahogany back & sides.The neck is straight and has been reset. So the action is good. And the saddle has room left for future adjustments. Has been refretted as well at some point in the past. 14 frets to the body. 5 dots markers on the fretboard. Black ebony nut. Nut width = 45 mm. A single layer of binding inside the sound hole.Original tuners and original firestripe pickguard.Original rosewood bridgeComes with it's original case wit purple inner lining and "Gibson system for Guitar" book from 1939 !
