The organ is complete with pedalboard and bench. The build quality is exemplary, and it's clear it was made to last. The E series models were produced from 1965 to 1970, with the E-112 version being the most advanced (with higher quality capacitors, expression pedal controlled by photoresistor, among other features). The vacuum tube power amplifier is 40 watts. The Hammond organ has an internal column with two original 15” and 8” speakers (the former for the bass band and the 8” for the treble/midrange). For the characteristic B3 sound, this model already has full foldback (bass and treble) on both keyboards. The sound is incredible, not to mention that nothing (clones or digital emulators) equals the sound generated by the Tonewheel system. It has a total of 13 tubes, 6 in the pre-amplification (3 x 12AX7, 1 x 12AU7 and 2 x EF86) and 7 in the power section (1 x 12AU7, 1 x 7247, 2 x EL34, 2 x ECL86, 1 x 5AR4). Originally, this model was designed with two 7591 power tubes; nowadays these tubes are rare and difficult to obtain. The organ was prepared to work with EL34 tubes, tubes... very similar, more evolved and with excellent results (with the respective circuit changes and adjustments). It has the famous Hammond Spring Reverb, with 3 intensity levels: Reverb I, Reverb II and both simultaneously (more intense). Each of the two manual keyboards has 61 keys and the pedalboard has 25 bass pedals and also the built-in expression/volume pedal. The main feature of the Hammond is obviously its Drawbars/Tonebars, totaling 20 registers, in which the various harmonics are mixed. For the upper keyboard there are 9 registers: Sub Fundamental, Sub 3rd, Fundamental, 2nd/3rd/4th/5th/6th and 8th harmonics. The lower keyboard is the same as the upper one with 9 more registers, while the bass pedalboard has 2 registers. Aesthetically, this pedalboard has been coated/protected by a chrome film with a very good finish. The Hammond has 5 types of percussion on the upper keyboard. (Chimes, Guitar, Marimba, Xylophone and Banjo) and the Reiterate effect acts on the various percussion registers, by turning the inner double knob “Reiteration Rate” it is possible to vary the tempo. A feature much appreciated in the B3 model has been added to this same knob, the famous “key click” (through the elimination of filters in the circuit), now making it possible to “feel” and better yet, adjust the size of the click! (but with the Reiterate key in the OFF position). By turning the outer double knob “Cymbal Brush Volume”, the volume of the “Cymbal and Brush” accompaniment on the lower keyboard or on the pedalboard is regulated. This model already includes the Harp Sustain effect, in which it is possible to add vibrato (generated by scanner, as in the B3). The vibrato is general to both keyboards and has 4x variations of tone and intensity (Small, Chorus, Celeste I and Celeste II).A complete maintenance was performed on the amplifier and the various preamps, with total recap. (Replacement of electrolytic and high-voltage capacitors, including the motor capacitor and the harp circuit capacitors (this one alone has 100 capacitors)), BIOS tuning and quality testing of the valves (which are in excellent condition). It was extensively disassembled and cleaned (including the keyboards), checked point by point, and improvements were made to the various circuits. All components that needed to be replaced due to age were replaced, including the important overhaul and oiling of the tonewheel and scanner system. In addition to general maintenance, improvements were also made to the circuit:-The Hammond has an external output, but considering the different impedances of the various Leslie models, two low and high impedance outputs (High / Low) were added.-For a greater Leslie effect, it is advisable that the Hammond speakers turn off when the Leslie is turned on. As a solution, a switch was added that allows the internal speakers to be turned off when necessary.-For greater safety, the mains power supply circuit was rebuilt. The cut-off switch was replaced. The unipolar power supply was replaced with a bipolar one, a ground circuit was installed, and a fuse was added at the power input. To facilitate control over all instruments connected to the organ, a 230VAC output controlled by the main bipolar power switch was added (to be able to turn the Leslie, pedals, and associated amplifiers on/off). In short, when the Hammond is switched on, all devices connected to its external power outlet are switched on simultaneously.-Regarding the sound, modifications were made to make it as close as possible to the acclaimed Hammond B3 (along with touch-sensitive percussion). Models after the B3 became increasingly "docile," "clean," and without "distortion." To make the organ more "B3," the circuit of the various preamplifiers for Vibrato, Percussion, Reverb, Key click, and other effects was "improved" through alterations/elimination of filters/condensers/resistors in these circuits. The Hammond was completely overhauled and treated by a specialized technician, and is now 100% ready for professional use and recording.Worldwide Shipping AvailableWe have lots of experience shipping worldwide, and all gear is shipped with extra protection.
