The Audio-Technica AT4047MP is the multi-pattern version of the company's AT4047/SV, a transformer-coupled condenser with a sound that harkens back to classic FET mics. With a huge, inviting sound and switchable polar patterns (cardioid, omni, figure-of-eight), the AT4047MP is useful in a wide range of applications from loud drums, horns and amps to the quietest, most delicate stringed instruments and female vocals.
