A complete, fully working, self-contained Pro Tools HDX recording and mixing system, built and used professionally on major feature film work through to 2020 and as a working backup and secondary rig since. Every component is installed, internally connected and tested. Power up, plug in your own iLok, and start recording or mixing.

This is not a box of parts. It is a finished, working rig in a bespoke desk-height flightcase, ready to use on delivery.

Focusrite OctoPre Platinum
8 channels of quality mic/line pre-amplification, 2 switchable to DI instrument level. Connected to the 8x8x8 via analogue DB25 for a stable, permanent connection and clean cable routing.

Behringer ADA8200
A further 8 channels of mic pre-amplification, with line-level operation as an excellent clean signal path for synths etc. Connected via high quality ADAT optical cable for simultaneous A-D and D-A operation, providing 8 additional line outputs on XLR. Wordclock cable included and correctly connected.

PLEASE READ - LICENSING AND COMPATIBILITY

Pro Tools licence not included. The buyer supplies their own iLok and Pro Tools licence. Current Pro Tools Studio and Ultimate licences authorise application versions back to 12.6, so a current subscription will run the installed 2020.12.1 under the buyer's own authorisation.

UAD plug-in authorisations. UAD software 11.5.2 is fully installed and all plug-ins are recognised by the system. Universal Audio plug-in licences are tied to the owner's Universal Audio account, so no plug-in licences transfer with this sale.

No action is required from the seller. Universal Audio permit any used Satellite to be registered directly by its new owner. The buyer logs in to an existing Universal Audio account, or creates one free of charge at uaudio.com, goes to the Hardware Registration page, selects the device type, selects "Used", and enters the serial number. Registration is completed by opening the UAD Meter & Control Panel and clicking Authorize Plug-Ins.

On registration, Universal Audio add the Analog Classics bundle (including the 1176, LA-2A, Pultec and Fairchild 670 emulations) to the buyer's account free of charge. Any further UAD plug-ins the buyer already owns, or purchases subsequently, will run across the eight DSP cores provided by the two Satellites. Up to six UAD-2 devices can be assigned to a single system, sharing the same licences. Without registration, plug-ins run in 14-day demo mode only.

Important for the buyer - do not update the UAD software. UAD software 11.5.2 is installed and should be retained.

Operating system. Supplied running macOS 10.13.6 High Sierra, which is the latest macOS natively supported by the Mac Pro 5,1 without a graphics card change. Pro Tools 2020.12.1 is Avid-qualified on 10.13.6. This is a studio machine rather than one intended for general internet use.
