The NAD 533 is a manual belt-drive turntable produced between 1997 and 2001 in Japan, designed as an accessible entry point into Rega-lineage performance. It is built around an OEM version of the renowned Rega RB250 tonearm - a one-piece aluminium pressure-cast design with miniature ball bearings, static balancing, and a magnetic anti-skate device - paired with a Goldring Elektra cartridge. The platter is MDF, driven by a high-torque synchronous motor, and the deck sits on three energy-absorbent synthetic rubber feet for vibration isolation. It plays at both 33.33 and 45 rpm, making it a straightforward, no-frills record player with a genuinely respected tonearm at its core.
A great opportunity to own a NAD 533 at this price point.
