The PMC twotwo Sub2 is an active subwoofer designed to pair with PMC's twotwo range of nearfield studio monitors, combining a bespoke long-throw, carbon-fibre/Nomex flat-piston bass driver with PMC's proprietary ATL™ transmission-line technology and DSP-based bass management for low-distortion, tonally consistent output at any volume, all housed in a rigid, heavily braced cabinet and driven by up to 600W of Class-D amplification; it can be deployed in a 2.1 setup for extended sub-bass or to handle the LFE channel in surround monitoring, making it ideal for midfield performance in tight spaces like broadcast or post-production rooms, and rounds out its feature set with balanced analogue and AES3 digital inputs (32–192kHz), a built-in parametric EQ for room correction, and pass-through outputs that let it double as a high-end DAC.
