Now here's something you don't see every day!
A Martin D-35S in wonderful condition, this beautiful sloped shoulder Dreadnought pays homage to some of the earliest acoustics that Martin produced for Ditson in the 1910s whilst maintaining the more modern sensibilities and style that made the D-35 so popular from the mid '60s.
With its slotted headstock and 12th fret neck join, wider 1 7/8" nut width, it's clear to see why this model has been favoured by finger style players since its inception, it handles like a Parlor but with all the power and projection of a Dreadnought.
The body is comprised of a solid Spruce top and a truly stunning three piece Rosewood back and sides, the centre wedge being Brazillian Rosewood, highly revered for its beauty, rarity and rich tonal characteristics. The body is braced with a much lighter 1/4", non scalloped X brace, which allows the top to move more freely, creating an impressive bass resonance and volume without muddying. It can flat pick, it can finger-style and it can cowboy chord, truly an all rounder and the perfect accompaniament to any songwriter or session.
It comes with its original case and of course our customary two year set up and servicing warranty included in the price.
