Universal Audio UAD-1 Project PAK 2004

This was used for a project, then removed from the PC and put back in the box. It looks new and everything is included and is in the original box.

Please note that this is a PCI card for use with older computers (Mac or PC). System requirements are listed on back of the box (see photo).

NOTE: I will ship internationally, but message me for a quote before you purchase as shipping prices range from $14 to $80 depending on what part of the world you are located.

The Universal Audio UAD-1 Project PAK is a legacy hardware DSP accelerator card designed to offload CPU-heavy audio plug-in processing from your computer to dedicated on-board hardware.

Key Hardware & System Specifications

Feature Details

Card Type: 7-inch, short-form PCI 2.1-compliant card (66MHz bus timing)

DSP Engine: Single unpartitioned super-DSP chip

Data Format: IEEE 32-bit floating-point and double-precision processing

Sample Rates: Supports 32kHz to 192kHz sampling rates

Operating System Support: Windows (98SE/ME/2000/XP/2003) and Mac OS 9 through OS X

Plug-in Formats: VST, Audio Units (AU), DirectX, and MAS (Mac)Bundled Plug-InsThe Project PAK comes natively bundled with five foundational UA plugins:

• 1176SE: A lower DSP-usage version of the classic 1176LN limiting amplifier.
• CS-1 Channel Strip: A combination module that provides EQ, compression, delay modulation, and a reflection engine.
• Nigel: A comprehensive guitar processing suite with preamp, speaker cabinet modeling, echo, delay, and modulation.
• Pultec EQP-1A: A faithful vintage program equalizer emulation.
• RealVerb Pro: A flexible acoustic space and room modeler.

Expandability & Compatibility

• DSP Headroom: Because the UAD-1 relies on a single unpartitioned chip, it natively handles larger, more complex plugin algorithms without splitting DSP logic across multiple chips.
• Ecosystem: While the UAD-1 card is a discontinued, legacy product, it can still run on compatible legacy hardware systems or via PCI-to-PCIe expansion chassis. The Project PAK can also be expanded via the Universal Audio store for additional vintage emulation options.
