Lion Head Violin 4/4 - German Stainer Model
Antique German Stainer-model violin with carved lion-head scroll. Probably late 19th century. No internal label.
The violin is in good playable condition showing the expected wear and patina associated with its age. The two piece back is of attractive flame maple well matched to the ribs.
There are no cracks, neck repairs or major issues.
Supplied with a fully functional bow and a modern, nearly new, hard case.
Length of back (excluding nut) 35.5cm
The instrument is set up and ready to play although the strings will be loosened for safe transit.
