Comments:

The L-00 body shape was originally designed as an affordable "blues box" or parlor-style instrument. It quickly became a foundational staple for itinerant blues, country, and folk musicians due to its focused projection and portable size. The modern "Studio Walnut" variation was launched as part of Gibson's updated contemporary line. It preserves the historic, tight-waisted 1930s L-00 silhouette but replaces traditional mahogany back/sides with solid walnut, introducing a brighter, highly articulate modern voice.
