Vintage Soviet Orpheus B♭ Clarinet — Kyiv Musical Instrument Factory, 1986 This is a genuine Soviet-era B-flat clarinet manufactured in 1986 at the legendary Orpheus factory in Kyiv, Ukraine (USSR). Serial number 264. The Orpheus factory has a rich history: it began as a musical instrument manufacturer in Kyiv and for decades was one of the main producers of wind instruments in the Soviet Union. In the early 1980s the factory partially switched to producing popular tape recorders under the Mayak brand (including the famous Mayak-203) and was later renamed Mayak. 📦 What's Included

✅ Condition The clarinet is in excellent vintage condition for a 40-year-old Soviet instrument. Beautifully preserved, nickel-plated keys move freely, no visible cracks or major damage on the body. All pads are in place. Everything is shown in detail in the photos and video. Important recommendation: Although the instrument looks and plays great right now, we strongly recommend having it professionally serviced by a qualified clarinet technician before intensive use. This includes checking the tenon joints (currently wrapped in traditional Soviet thread) and replacing them with modern cork if needed, plus inspecting/replacing the pads, which may have lost some elasticity over 40 years. Such maintenance is usually inexpensive and will ensure the clarinet plays perfectly for many years to come.
