Abe No. 5 Classical Guitar 1979 – Shoichi Yanagisawa – Japan

Just cleaned and restrung. This 1979 Abe No. 5 was built by respected Japanese luthier Shoichi Yanagisawa and represents the quality craftsmanship that made late-1970s Abe guitars highly regarded among classical guitar enthusiasts.

The guitar features a beautifully aged cedar top paired with attractive rosewood back and sides. It has developed a warm, mature voice over the years with excellent projection and clarity.

The guitar plays well but has higher action, measuring approximately 4.5mm at the 12th fret on the bass side and 4.0mm on the treble side. While still perfectly playable, some players may prefer a future setup adjustment depending on their preferences.

Overall condition is good for its age with normal cosmetic wear, light scratches, and small dings consistent with a vintage instrument. The guitar appears structurally sound and presents very well.
