A state-variable filter with wide range and application. Versatile and expressive, combining tilt and notch/boost equalization around a 2nd-order (–12 dB/octave) state-variable core.

In essence, LONG LIFE is a one-band parametric equalizer with some gritty extras:

• Shelving filter, sweeping smoothly from low-pass to high-pass
• CV inputs for resonance (Q) and frequency (F)
• V/octave scaling for synthesizer interfacing
• Fully variable Q that can reach tasty, sweet self-oscillations
• Soft-clip zener stage for added color and edge
• Expression pedal input to control center frequency
