About This Model

The Pioneer PDR-509 is a standalone CD recorder and player designed for home hi-fi use. It accepts both digital and analogue sources, with optical (Toslink) and coaxial digital inputs alongside a stereo line input, making it straightforward to record from a wide range of equipment. A built-in sample rate converter handles digital sources such as DAT or digital radio without requiring an external converter. On the output side it offers optical, coaxial, stereo line, and a front-panel 6.3 mm headphone socket. Additional features include digital and analogue level control, fade in/out, and title programming. Note that the unit requires consumer "audio" CD-R discs with the appropriate royalty code — standard "data" CD-Rs will trigger a "PRO DISC" error and will not record.

A great opportunity to own a Pioneer PDR-509 at this price point.
