The KI Signature designation marks it as a variant personally overseen by Marantz's Ken Ishiwata, assembled in the UK and burn-in tested for 48 hours before leaving the factory. Its copper-plated anti-vibration chassis and oversized ultra-low-impedance toroidal power transformer set it apart from the standard CD-63 MkII, while copper-plated HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) circuitry in the analogue output stage works to reduce noise and improve signal slew rate.
