Some of you followed the journey of this keyboard bought in London in 2023 and too rarely used, and that in April 2026 would not switch on anymore- it needed a board replacement due a ‘rare glitch’, as the engineer put it.
I considered selling it for parts, then changed my mind and decided to invest those £545 for the Roland engineer to fix it installing a new board (upgraded to last model Nov 25 by the way - see pic).
Now (16/05/2026) works as new, likely better.

The Roland FANTOM-08 is a powerful 88-key weighted keyboard synthesizer workstation. 

And well not for me, a too optimistic beginner.

I tell you the truth. Never moved from its safe dry spot home and used only to train as a beginner piano, no accidents, no liquid spills, from a no pets&no smoking home, really nothing wrong with it. Until after holiday it would not switch on anymore! 
Bought it brand new full price in 2023 from now-bankrupt PMT London, it died of course just out of warranty.
Roland engineer M Chapman came to assess and diagnosed a fault requiring main board replacement. 
FIXED IT, works as new now.

Considering I still have not understood what a synth is and why I even bothered buying it, I downgraded to a FP90x and now have to sell this beauty.
