The Audio-Technica ATW-T1006 is a digital wireless cardioid boundary microphone/transmitter designed for the System 10 and System 10 PRO platforms. It houses a fixed-charge back plate, permanently polarized condenser element with a half-cardioid polar pattern (120° angle of acceptance) and a full 20 Hz–20,000 Hz frequency response, transmitting audio at 24-bit/48 kHz over the 2.4 GHz band with a line-of-sight range of up to 200 feet (61 m). A recessed button selects from three gain levels (−6 dB, 0 dB, +6 dB) to suit different voice levels, and a switchable 80 Hz low-cut filter (18 dB/octave) handles room rumble. The touch-sensitive capacitive user switch supports Toggle, Momentary On (press-to-talk), and Momentary Off (press-to-mute) modes, making it equally suited to boardroom conferencing and live presentation. Power comes from a built-in 3.7 V lithium-ion battery rated for up to 9 hours of use and rechargeable via Micro-USB in approximately 4.5 hours. The heavy die-cast housing with non-slip silicone foam pads minimises surface vibration coupling, and dual red/green LEDs provide status visibility from both front and rear.
