About This Model

The Technics SX-KN6500 is a feature-packed 61-key arranger keyboard with initial and after touch, built around a Dynamic PCM sound generator delivering up to 64 notes of polyphony. It houses an enormous library of 1,065 preset sounds, 36 drum kits and 2 digital drawbars, alongside 220 preset rhythms with four variations each and the Music Stylist function giving access to 1,080 music styles. A 16-track sequencer with approximately 40,000-note capacity and an 8-part Composer function make it a self-contained music production tool, while the wide colour graphic LCD (640 × 240 dots) with adjustable angle keeps everything clearly in view. The onboard 3.5" floppy disk drive handles saving and loading of songs, styles and system data, and connectivity is broad: MIDI IN/OUT/THRU, line and aux inputs and outputs, microphone input, foot switch and expression pedal jacks, and computer connection via MIDI/PC/Mac switching. A substantial 66 W total amplification system (18 W × 2 mid/high, 30 W × 1 bass) means this keyboard can fill a room without external amplification.
