RARER THEN RARE!!

Two KM 64 tube microphones ( AC701 "K spec" tubes). with consecutive serials.

Pictures of the inside / tubes will follow.

SUPERB CONDITION, 100% WORKING.

Super rare long-tube-body version!! made for theater, television etc. ( its actually not called KM64, i will add the exact type later but they are KM64's )

Inc gorgeous original boxes and Leo Schall PSU and cables.

Originally you could order some kind of "ground plate" on which they could stand ( you could screw the long tube fatter part into it ) but they are not included, and i think probably impossible to find as they didnt come as standard with the microphones as far as i know.

AND NOW FOR THE EXTRA GOOD NEWS!!

We did a comparison to the "normal body" KM64, and we were amazed to find/ conclude that this long body version sounded considerably better!! it has a more solid sound , a bigger spectrum and a more "pure in phase coherency" ( these are just terms, which might be nerdly incorrect, but just to explain )

After brainstorming with my tech and some other technical "scenario try outs" we concluded that the reason for this better sound was that with the normal KM64 the capsule is screwed on the body, which means that ( like with all microphones ) the body has a ( resonant ) influence on the sound of the capsule!!

With the long-body version there is almost nothing "connected' to the back of the capsule, which means it's almost " floating in space" --- the result is that you realy hear the capsule on it's own, with much less ( no ) resonant influence from it's body!!
