It retains everything that made the 49-key model revolutionary: the expressive 3D keybed, MPE integration, high-end interface, and premium build quality — giving musicians the choice to stay with 49 keys or step up to 61.

EaganMatrix Always at the Core of Osmose Sound

Powered by the legendary EaganMatrix engine, developed by Haken Audio, Osmose delivers rich acoustic textures and complex synth sounds that react intuitively to every gesture. Its versatile engine supports physical modeling, FM, subtractive synthesis, and more, complemented by onboard reverb, delay, compressor, and EQ.

With 580 factory presets and up to 2048 preset slots, Osmose offers a complete, performance-ready palette while staying true to the expressive soul of the instrument.

A Living Ecosystem

Osmose is more than an instrument; it is at the center of a living ecosystem that grows and evolves with its community of musicians.

Expressive E has expanded the software ecosystem around Osmose, offering a rich library of sounds through partnerships with renowned companies such as U-He, KiloHearts, Dawesome, AAS, and Synapse Audio. These collaborations are featured in the Expressive Suites, available on the Expressive E website.

Proprietary software explicitly designed for Osmose — such as the new Soliste (physically modeled solo strings) and Noisy 2 (a dual-layer, noise-driven synth) — has also been released to further expand musical possibilities.

This ecosystem is designed to grow. Expressive E is committed to making Osmose evolve over time, with regular firmware updates bringing smoother workflows, deeper DAW integration, and an ever more fluid user experience.

Made in Europe: A New Factory in Poland

Until now, Osmose production has been outsourced to China. To meet global demand while guaranteeing uncompromising quality, Expressive E is taking a decisive step forward: a new assembly facility in Poland, fully dedicated to Osmose and future instruments.

For the first time, the company will no longer rely on subcontractors. Every stage, from design to assembly, will now be handled in-house. This shift gives Expressive E full control over the lifecycle of its products, ensuring reliability, sustainability, and the highest European quality standards.

It’s an ambitious challenge for a young company, but one driven by passion, conviction, and a clear vision: to craft instruments that embody both innovation and integrity, from the very first design to the final note — and to gain even greater freedom to innovate.
