Westbury 3/4 Size - Made for The Sound Post Ltd mid to late 2010s - Hand varnished

This cello was bought second-hand from Woodbridge Violins (Suffolk) in 2020 who also set up / serviced the instrument. We paid £1200 at the time. It currently has Dominant strings.

Westbury are part of the string instrument range distributed by Eastman Strings and sold in the UK through dealers such as The Sound Post, which is where this one originally came from. Eastman’s string instruments are widely known for being handcrafted in Chinese workshops using traditional methods and then usually finished, adjusted, or quality-checked in the UK before sale.

It's a very good intermediate student cello and comes 3/4 size bow and a soft / hard case which is full size, factory customised inside to accomodate the 3/4 size instrument. The cello has seen some use and there are signs of wear on the body edges. The bow has some wear on the grip and the cello case is quite large (although not heavy) and has seen better days but still useful.
