I don't want to waste buyers time describing this all time classic - if you are interested you already know of this Austin Martin of the Bass world; just the reason for me selling it! I started playing in bands in 1977 at the age of 18yrs. As I became more successful and played larger gigs and festivals the fortunate bass players with backing always had this baby: I was so jealous and envious of them. Now time travel to 2026 and like all pensioners who have done well for themselves I decided to give myself a treat; a toss up between a Harley Davidson Big Boy or the Ampeg SVT Classic: in my eyes there was no contest - unfortunately the practicalities of owning this monster became clear very soon on purchasing it from the awesome Coda Music in Stevenage. The weight: I'm 67 on Friday 15th May and even though I'm a big gym lad I struggle carrying it up and down my three storey victorian house for rehearsals or gigs! The power and awesome volume didn't bother me "as who doesn't want the roar of the most amazing beast to dominate a stage!" I had to buy a bass head (Little Marcus 58R) which is cool but nothing like this beautiful monster! It hasn't been played enough to run it in ( old motorbike engine term) I know who buy's it will be very serious bass players and the love and care I have giving it will be appreciated by them. The price it is on for is very generous for those dreamers who just pang for the chance to own it.
