Vintage 2017 Highwood snare built with a 1976 seasoned Promuco beech shell. 10 vintage tube lugs, triple flange 2.3mm hoops, made in Horbury, West Yorkshire. Brand new heads and snare.
It's beautiful, superbly made and very well regarded. Google 'Highwood 1976 Beech Legacy Drums' for more info; it's a fascinating bit of drumming history.
I replaced with new: a warped hoop, the lug fixings, the washers, both heads and snare wire (it now has Evans UV1 snare head, snare side Hazy 300 and PureSound Custom Pro snare wire). It's been cleaned, lubed and carefully put back together. I've not really even fully tightened down the heads, and apart from a few strokes with a stick and some brushes to tune it up a bit, it's not even been played, so it's in lovely condition.
It comes in a Protection Racket soft case accompanied by a rubber practise pad. All offers considered.
