1978 Fender Mustang Olympic White w/OHSC & Paperwork 

Up for grabs is this exceptionally clean example of a 1978 Fender Mustang, finished in Olympic White—now beautifully aged to a warm “buttercream”—and paired with a maple fretboard, a slightly less common and desirable configuration for this period.

Included in the sale is the original hard shell case, along with the original warranty card and owner’s manual—rare additions that further enhance the collectability of this vintage Fender.

The guitar remains largely original, aside from a correct aftermarket black pickguard and matching black pickup covers. Otherwise, it is original throughout, including all electronics.

With its 24" short scale, the Mustang offers an incredibly comfortable playing experience, with a fast, effortless feel suited to a wide range of styles. The maple fretboard adds brightness and snap, perfectly complementing the original single-coil pickups, which deliver everything from crisp, articulate cleans to punchy, slightly gritty tones. The original switching system is fully functional, providing the classic in-phase and out-of-phase sounds Mustangs are known for.

Cosmetically, it’s in excellent condition for its age—very clean overall, with only light surface wear and no notable dents or damage. It presents beautifully and has clearly been well cared for.

The neck is in very good shape—straight and comfortable—with plenty of life remaining in the frets. The truss rod functions as it should.

Structurally, the guitar is sound, with no breaks or repairs, and all electronics are working exactly as intended.
