An attractive turn of the 20th Century "Carrodus" (French Trade) violin in a less common 7/8th or "ladies" size. The violin is in very good condition with a highly flamed back and mellow tone. It has just received a new bridge, Larsen Evoke strings and protective sympathetic varnish retouch to the front & back edgework so as not to detract from the overall age related patina. All work carried out by Timothy Sparrow of Sparrow Violins () who has also provided this description. Inside the violin the label reads "The Carrodus Violin 1902".
