1960 Selmer Mark VI Alto Saxophone – Serial #905XX – Original Lacquer

For sale is an outstanding Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone, serial number 905XX, manufactured in late 1960 and assembled in Paris, France.

This is a genuine five-digit Mark VI from one of the most sought-after periods of Selmer production. The instrument retains its original lacquer and has never been relacquered. It presents as an honest, well-preserved player's horn with normal lacquer wear consistent with age and professional use.

Most importantly, this saxophone is an exceptional player. It has recently received a complete professional repad and regulation and responds effortlessly throughout the full range. The tone is rich, complex, and centered, with the characteristic resonance and flexibility that have made early Mark VI altos legendary among professional players.
