ARIA PRO II RSB-MEDIUM II 1985 MATSUMOKU BASS - ALL-ORIGINAL

Aria's RSB - the aptly-named 'Rock Solid Bass'.

The Medium II is a Matsumoku-produced, compact medium scale from the 1980s.

While not as celebrated as some of Aria's through-neck long scale models from the period, the high quality design, materials and construction make this an exceptionally comfortable bass to play.

And it sounds pretty damn good too.

These were widely touted as a great second bass - read: affordable - or 'a guitarist's bass'. This may have been the case here since it has been used very sparingly.

The all-round quality, playability and sound of this medium-scale makes it eminently able to perform as your main bass.

It also happens to be great fun to play.

Condition-wise...

This has been lovingly cared for.

Cosmetically, the original white finish has aged to a very cool and uniform cream. One or two minor hairlines to the top finish but overall this one is in excellent shape. (See photos)

It's completely original - hardware, pickups, controls, electrics etc. Everything works precisely as it should. No repairs or modifications.

Neck, fretboard and frets have almost zero wear.

These Aria dual humbucker pickups have a super response and offer a great tone range. Very simple to dial in the most usable of sounds.

The action is fast and low and it feels solid and responsive overall. Intonation is bang on. Strings are new.

In Summary...

A high spec vintage 80s Aria offering super quality, tone and playability in fantastic original condition.

Comes with a gig bag.

A Note On Shipping:

We want you to be fully satisfied with everything - from the item itself (naturally!) through the shipping, packaging, communication etc.

Of course there is nothing we can do about customs duty, local taxes etc at your end. But we can keep the overall price as competitive as is decently possible.

The Japan post office service (EMS) is reliable and efficient but shipping costs from Japan to Europe or the states are unavoidably expensive.

For this reason none of the shipping costs we quote reflect the actual price we have to pay. We are more than willing to take a hit on that to make things as attractive for you as possible.

Vintage Instruments & Equipment

Shipping by air plus climatic changes can affect how a guitar is set up - no matter how well it is packed. Consequently there is no guarantee that an instrument arrives with exactly the same set up as stated. After a period of acclimatisation, you may still need to make any adjustments at your own expense.
