Here’s a chance to grab one of the most legendary guitar speakers ever made: the Electro-Voice SRO/12, also known as the “coffee can” thanks to its massive AlNiCo magnet design. Built in Buchanan, Michigan, this beast set the standard for clarity, warmth, and punch in the late ’60s and ’70s, and it’s still revered today.

This example is an 8 ohm model, testing at 6.2 ohms on the meter, right where it should be. With its oversized AlNiCo magnet, the SRO/12 handles around 100 watts with ease and pushes serious air with its high efficiency. Known for warm, punchy lows, smooth midrange, and a top end that cuts without harshness, this speaker has long been favored by guitarists for both live use and recording. At roughly 20 pounds, it’s a true heavyweight in both size and sound, delivering a depth and presence that few modern speakers can match.

Condition is solid with the cone showing honest signs of age and has a couple of small tears around the edge of the speaker (pictured) and it will need a light repair.
