Yamaha FS9 R Adirondack Spruce All-Solid Acoustic Guitar
The Yamaha FS9 R offers powerful projection, clear highs, and exceptional detail, making it especially well suited for vocal accompaniment. Its refined balance of strength and sensitivity gives players both expressive nuance and impressive presence.
Built with a solid Adirondack spruce top and specially tapered body edges, the FS9 R combines structural strength with enhanced resonance, allowing the body to vibrate more efficiently. This results in strong volume, quick response, and excellent tonal clarity.
Its newly designed neck joint combines bolt-on and glued construction to improve body resonance while also enhancing serviceability. The neck-to-body connection is finished with great precision for both performance and stability.
The design also reflects understated Japanese aesthetics, with fingerboard inlays inspired by traditional Kumiki woodworking, along with rope-pattern detailing on the soundhole inlay and body purfling.
In developing the FG/FS9 series, Yamaha combined advanced acoustics research and 3D structural measurement technology with the craftsmanship of skilled luthiers in its custom shop, creating an instrument that blends science and traditional guitar making.
