The body of the SR500N is constructed from okoume, here to help provide the bass with modern tone whilst also being lightweight, thanks to the ergonomic SR body shape. Married to the body is 5-piece roasted maple and walnut neck, heat-treated for maximum stability, and a fast, smooth feel that feels great in the hand.

Equipped with Nordstrand Big Break pickups, the SR500N produces a meaty, aggressive split-coil texture in a soapbar style pickup, while maintaining the crisp clarity of a single-coil - all with  a welcome noiseless performance.

Tonal versatility is the order of the day thanks to the comprehensive Ibanez EQ system. The 3-band EQ gives you surgical control over your sound, whilst the 3-way Mid-frequency switch allows you to hit the sweet spot for any genre. For those who prefer a classic feel, the EQ bypass switch allows for pure passive operation...simply flick the EQ switch off and use the passive tone control on the treble pot.

The bass comes with black hardware, which compliment the colour of the bass and is fitted with an adjustable MR5S bridge for rock-solid tuning.
