Fender Deluxe Lone Star™ Stratocaster® with sanded back/relic finish, upgraded wiring and Seymour Duncan Custom Custom TB11 Trembucker
This guitar features premium U.S.- made pickups, tinted "C"-shaped maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, and vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, and has been upgraded to include a Seymour Duncan Custom Custom TB11 Trembucker and switches/wiring for a tap on the trembucker and adding the bridge, providing a wide range of tone options.
The TB11 delivers familiar alnico 2 warmth, along with the rich midrange harmonics of a hotter pickup, to provide a fatter treble response than the Pearly Gates (installed originally), and pairs well with the single coil Custom Shop Texas Specials at the Neck and Middle for a balanced, versatile setup.
The upgraded wiring installed on a new pickguard includes a 5-way superswitch, with Wilkinson mini-pots and orange drop capacitors – a 500kΩ tone pot with 0.022 cap on the trembucker, a 250kΩ tone pot with 0.047 cap on two single coil pickups with 470kΩ resistors to balance the circuit, and a 500kΩ volume pot.
The covers on the single coils have been changed to black to match the trembucker and contrast with the white pickguard.
The trembucker auto split at position 2 (slug coil) has been retained when the switches are off (as per the standard Fender HSS wiring set up), which may not be to everyone’s taste as the Bridge slug and Middle is noticeably quieter and thinner when swapping from position 1,3,4 or 5, but Full Bridge and Middle is available in position 3 with switch 1 up (and switch 2 down).

The body has been sanded back and sealed, the hardware is aged (tuners and bridge), and the neck has various signs of use (including a cigarette burn at the low E tuner, and some dings at the head on the sides) giving the guitar a relic appearance and some real character. There is some minor fret wear and a few dings to the fret board at the head end but overall, it is in very good playing condition.
The neck serial number suggests a 2010 model, which is what I have listed it as, however the date on the neck pocket of the body says October 2011. It is not uncommon for the Fender factory in Ensenada, Mexico to match old stock necks with newer bodies, but I am unable to otherwise verify the provenance. You can check out the original spec. for this guitar by entering the serial number into the Fender Serial Number Lookup.
The guitar has been set up with a low action and to standard fender settings.
Please refer to the photo’s to see the condition of the guitar, but if you still have any questions please ask.
