The Yamaha SG700 is a Japanese-made, solid-body electric guitar known for its high-quality craftsmanship and versatility, often seen as a more accessible alternative to higher-end models like the SG2000. It features a mahogany body with a carved maple top, a mahogany set-neck, and a rosewood fretboard with mother-of-pearl block inlays. It is equipped with two humbucking pickups that often include coil-tapping or Bi-Sound functionality for a wide tonal range, from clean jazz to rock, with controls for two volume and two tone knobs plus a pickup selector. The guitar is finished with classic hardware like a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece.
