1980 JMP 2104 - Fully Serviced
50 Watt 2x12 Combo – G12-65 (T3054)
A proper late-JMP era workhorse, this 1980 Marshall JMP 2104 is the full 2x12 combo version — effectively a 2204 circuit in combo form — delivering classic master volume Marshall aggression with serious projection and depth.
Built during the transitional period just before full JCM800 branding, these amps carry the raw, punchy character of late ’70s Marshall with the practicality of an all-in-one combo. Its in good condition with age related dings and snags to the tolex.

Speakers – Celestion G12-65 (T3054)
Loaded with a pair of Marshall-labelled Celestion G12-65 speakers (model T3054), this is exactly the kind of setup players look for in early ’80s Marshalls.
The G12-65 is widely regarded as one of the best matches for master volume circuits:
• Fuller, tighter low end than a Greenback
• Smoother top end (less harshness at higher gain)
• Strong, warm midrange
• Higher power handling — ideal for a 50-watt EL34 amp
In a 2x12 configuration, you get noticeably more depth, spread and low-end authority compared to the smaller format — closer to a compact half-stack feel but in a single unit.
Tone & Character
Circuit-wise, this sits squarely in 2204 territory:
• Aggressive upper-mid bite
• Tight, percussive attack
• Excellent note definition under gain
• Usable master volume for controllable drive
With the twin G12-65s, the amp sounds thick and controlled rather than fizzy — ideal for classic rock, early metal and studio work where you want punch without ice-pick highs.
A serious UK-built Marshall from the golden transition period — big enough to move air, compact enough to gig without a separate cab, and fitted with one of the most desirable Celestions of the era.
It has just been serviced by Dave Wittering at Prestige Amp Servicing, who is an ex-Marshall senior service engineer and is in full working order. The amp is tested and ready to go, free from all the usual problems you get with an old amp that's been collecting dust for years.
Mains voltage selector - 110v, 120v & 240v - so can be used worldwide.
