Rarely seen 1940’s Challen upright piano with mahogany "vibration deflector" casing and mandolin rail function supplied by an additional pedal on the left underside. Provides a bright, tinny sound akin to a traditional “honky-tonk” saloon piano. A similar model was used in Studio 3 at Abbey Road Studios by The Beatles. All original, just as it was when it left the factory excepting minor age-related cosmetic wear. Fully tuned and serviced around 12 months ago. Sold as seen, in-person collection only from Liverpool area. Will fit in the back of a Volvo V70 Estate. See the link attached for a demonstration video from the previous seller.
