Sonifex S2-15 | 15-Channel Broadcast Radio Console

For sale is a 'Broadcast-Ready' Sonifex S2 Broadcast Console.

Fully re-built by myself in the last month (fully cleaned & re-assembled - all cards and classes cleaned, inspected & re-secured), the S2 is a modular, professional-grade Broadcast console (used widely in professional settings; whilst also being the (almost) de-facto option in Educational settings too (such as Schools, Colleges and Universities)).

This particular S2 is a 15-module version. There are (currently) two available slots for additional I/O (in its current configuration). The device has been tested for full functionality.

Currently, the inputs are as follows:

• Channel 1: Microphone Feed
• Channel 2: Microphone Feed
• Channel 3: Microphone Feed
• Channel 4: Microphone Feed
• Channel 5: (Spare/Free)
• Channel 6: Dual Stereo Input Feed (2x Available Stereo Sources Per-Card)

• Channel 11: Telephone Input (can be used w/ Sonifex Telephony Appliance)
• Channel 12: Studio Headphone/Monitor Output(s)
• Channel 13: Presenter Headphones/Control Room (Studio) Monitors, Talkback Input/Output
• Channel 14: S/PDIF Sync (In) | S/PDIF Program Output | World Clock | AES/EBU Sync (In) | AES/EBU Program Output | 16-Pin Output & Remotes Connector | Main Power Input
• Channel 15: S/PDIF Sync (In) | S/PDIF Program Output | World Clock | AES/EBU Sync (In) | AES/EBU Program Output | 16-Pin Output & Remotes Connector | Meter Connection Slot (VU Metres)

The current additional modules installed on the Meter Bridge are as follows:

• 2x 'Timer' Modules (4x Total) - Ideal if needing to track program duration.
• L/R VU Meter - Can be toggled to show a specific input, program output (or, PFL on a specific-fader.
• Speaker Output - Configurable either as a PFL Listening Source, or - as a Talkback Speaker

The Unit comes with the 2U Rack-Mountable Power Supply and the accompanying Power Cable (to provide power to the Console).

Due to the vast array of deployment scenarios this S2 could be applied to - no additional cables beyond this are supplied.

Overall, this is a fantastic console suitable to Commercial or Amateur Broadcast.

The only reason for sale is, due to an unplanned Studio move - I am selling equipment I have not been using as often. This was originally going to be used in a Podcast setting - but, due to the move this project is no longer going ahead.

The S2 will be sent fully insured up to its purchased value (Pricing also reflects weight of item). Collection is also possible from Kidderminster, West Midlands.

The S2-15 blank chassis sells for £884 (ex.VAT) on it's own. This really is a fantastic deal for any Broadcaster!
