This is a full-size vintage violin bearing the label:
“Antonius Stradiuarius Cremonensis Faciebat Anno 1721.”
It is not an original Stradivarius but a copy, most likely from a German or Eastern European workshop in the late 19th or early 20th century. Instruments like this were commonly produced as tributes to the great Cremonese makers and are still valued for their craftsmanship and potential.
Details:
- Full-size (4/4) violin
- Labelled “1721” Stradiuarius
- Structurally sound
- Not currently set up – will require new strings, and general adjustment
- Case included
- Bow included
This would make a great project for a student, hobbyist, or luthier - or a nice vintage instrument once restored and set up. Priced fairly for a quick sale.
