Two selectable clipping modes tailor the driveâs character between light breakup and medium-gain overdrive, each supplying an expressive response that cleans up with lighter picking and breaks up more the harder you strum. 

An expansive tone control and switchable pre-gain mid boost provide powerful frequency shaping tools to hone your final tone. From flavouring your core clean tone to delivering dynamic overdrive on tap, the Hammertone Breakup Drive has you covered.

JFET© BASED CIRCUITRY

The core drive circuit is designed around JFET transistors, prized for their ability to replicate the tonal behaviour of tubes.

DYNAMIC SATURATION

Just like tubes on the edge of breakup, dynamic clipping stages react to your picking and organically saturate more the harder you pick.

SELECTABLE CLIPPING STAGES

Choose between two clipping stages to tailor your saturation level: pushed, edge of breakup or a medium-gain overdrive with higher harmonic content.

MIDS INJECTION SWITCH

Flip the mids switch into the up position to apply a 9dB middle frequency boost before the clipping stage, perfect for cutting through the mix with a classic, mid-heavy overdrive tone

SOFT-TOUCH RELAY BYPASSING

Relay true bypass switching ensures that when the pedal is off, your signal is clean and clear.

POWER WITH 18V FOR MORE HEADROOM

Designed to operate with 9V-18V power supplies. Plug in an 18V power supply to experience an additional 6dB of headroom.
