I love this drive and it gives me what I wanted in a drive, a little vol boost, a slight gain, high end clarity and low end without mud. I find, as Brian suggests, to not start on tones 12:00 but all the way down, bring up the treble until you get the clarity and forward mix you like and then bring in the bass to a level that enhances the body of the tone without adding too much bass, getting dist or muddy. Another really great feature of all the Wampler pedals I use is their ability to morph and play with any other pedals you toss at it before or after.
