Reslo RBL-WS 30-50 'Beatles' Ribbon Microphone (Circa pre-1965)

Early low impedance (30-50 Ohm) WS version of the British-made ribbon mic (pre-1965 I believe, around which point Reslo chose to produce only the more familiar T or TS-style long body versions). The WS denotes the body style and presence of an on/off switch. The microphone includes a short 3-pin screw-lockable Reslo plug to standard 3-pin male XLR connector so the mic can be used with standard XLR leads. Also included in the sale is an original Reslo desk stand.

The mic is in excellent visual and working condition, and has clearly been very lightly used/carefully stored over the last 50-60 years. I have to admit, it sounds absolutely incredible. It works like a charm, and the on/off switch works perfeclt as it should as well. There are no dents or other damage to the body, and the mic grilles (front and back) plus chrome finish are in excellent condition. All in all, a fine and very clean example of a popular British ribbon mic, made popular by The Beatles.
