The Warm Audio Fen-tone is inspired by a classic 50's ribbon mic built with upgraded, modern components to deliver iconic tones/ This is achieved by leveraging modern component upgrades including a custom corrugated Japanese ribbon, rare-earth Neodymium magnet, and CineMag USA output transformer to deliver those iconic ribbon tones heard on countless recordings of electric guitar, overheads, horns, strings, acoustics, and so much more.

The Warm Audio Fen-tone takes the value a step further by adding an all-analog 26 dB JFET in-line preamp, allowing for active use. This feature is critical for those users who plan on plugging their ribbons directly into an underpowered audio interface preamp. This active circuit is true bypass and does not impact the integrity of the passive ribbon mic circuit.
