Wow! Where do I begin?

I purchased this from a literal mad scientist, hell bent on creating a carbon fiber headless Telecaster.

You have a metsl core, wrapped in a carbon fiber central column, and two wings, made from sheets of carbon fiber, bolthed together with machined aluminium spacers. The neck is a headless maple neck, featuring the same constuction style as a fender neck, albeit with the head.

The bridge and tuners are custom milled from a block of aluminium and lathed aluminium tuning barrels. The barrels are notched to allow you to use a coin or very stiff pick to assist with turning the tuners.

The saddles are piezo telecaster saddles. Possibly Graphtech Ghosts? I cannot be sure of this. No volume, no tone, no onboard preamp. The sound is bright and Hi Fi. Sounds absolutely amazing going into a single channel valve amp.

It is incredibly light. Can easily be balanced on one finger. The neck profile feels more 50's not quite a baseball bat but not too far off. It's finishes in matt lacquer and is incredibly easy to play on.

Now this thing is definitely not a production model and there are some little things that get on my nerves. Here's what I would change.

- The output jack - It's tucked away and you will probably need a right angled jack to plug it in.

- No volume knob - volume pedal necessary

- neck join and body - both feel a little pointy for me, but I'm spoiled by the tummy cut and forearm counter of my Stratocaster

- The tuning barrels - I just wish they were knurled.

If you can look past these , this is a fantastic, completely unique instrument and would make for a wonderful travel guitar.
