Made in Japan in 1983, the SS-38 Silver Star was Tokai’s version of the CBS era Fender Stratocaster including a large headstock with a bullet truss and micro-tilt adjustor on a three-bolt neck plate. Alder body with an aged Olympic White finish, maple neck with a comfortable rounded C profile and 21 fret rosewood fingerboard (39mm nut width). Loaded with the original 5-way switch, Japanese pots and Tokai H stamped alnico single coil pickups that suit the guitar perfectly. Weighs 3.5kg’s.
Nice vintage condition as pictured with basic signs of wear and tear as pictured. Looks to be all original as pictured except for some replacement knobs. Given a full professional setup and service prior to listing, the neck is straight with a fully working truss rod and the vintage frets are shiny and smooth with light wear.
